Get Election Blog updates on your cell phone

Sign up for a Twitter account to get today's WisPolitics Election Blog headlines sent to your mobile phone (note that standard text messaging charges will apply for any messages you receive).

Here are the steps to getting WisPolitics Election Blog headlines on your phone (skip to step 5 if you already have a Twitter account):

  1. Go to www.twitter.com and sign up for an account
  2. Go to http://twitter.com/devices and enter +1 then your 10-digit mobile phone number in the appropriate box.
  3. Put a check in the box labeled "It’s okay for Twitter to send txt messages to my phone. Standard rates apply."
  4. Click "Save." Follow the steps to confirm your phone number.
  5. Once you're signed up and logged in, go to
    http://twitter.com/wispoliticsfeed and click the button labeled "Follow."
  6. After you get the message "You are now following wispoliticsfeed," click the triangle next to "Following" and click "On" under device updates. You should receive the next WisPolitics Election Blog headline on your phone, as well as all future headlines.

Once your phone is confirmed, you can use Twitter's search function to find other feeds you'd like to follow (use steps 5-6 to get their updates on your phone) or you can post your own updates
(known as "tweets") to your Twitter feed.
