Appeals court judges file campaign finance reports
Pre-election campaign finance reports for next Tuesday's judicial candidates are emerging.
In the race for 2nd District Court of Appeals judge, Waukesha Co. Judge Paul Reilly raised $65,416 over the period. Reilly spent $63,108 over the period and had $14,823 cash on hand at the reporting deadline.
His opponent, fellow Waukesha Co. Judge Linda Van De Water -- who lists $215,000 in loans -- raised just $8,013 over the period but outspent Reilly with $81,055 in disbursements. She had a $66,654 warchest at the end of the period.
In the 4th District Appeals Court race, Richland County Judge Ed Leineweber reports raising $30,614 and spending $36,772 during the period. He has $4,707 cash on hand.
Dane Co. DA Brian Blanchard's campaign reported raising $47,175 and spending $51,960 during the period. He had $23,077 cash on hand.
