Worzala leads Dem field on fundraising front in the 2nd CD
Dane County Treasurer Dave Worzala outraised the rest of the Dem field for the 2nd CD in the fourth quarter, pulling in $223,140, according to his campaign.
State Rep. Mark Pocan raised $150,987, while fellow Assembly Dem Kelda Roys raised $76,560, their campaigns said.
The fourth Dem candidate in the race, UW-Madison graduate Matt Silverman, was the only candidate whose reported was posted at the FEC site by mid-afternoon. He reported raising $6,235, spending $1,973 and had $4,262 cash on hand.
Worzala's campaign says it spent $22,824 and had $252,196 cash on hand.
The Pocan and Roys campaigns did not say in their statements how much they spent during the quarter or how much they had in their warchests.
Pocan said he has collected donations from 1,310 individuals and organizations, while 80 percent of the donations received in the quarter were in increments of $100 or less. More than 97 percent of his donors were individuals.
Roys said her receipts from individuals were up over the previous quarter by 50 percent, while her number of donors grew from 323 in the third quarter to 784 by the end of the fourth quarter.
