New Barrett TV ad hits Walker for 250k job promise
A new television ad from Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett attacks Gov. Scott Walker for what the campaign calls a failure to come through on his promise to create 250,000 jobs by the end of his first term.
The 30-second advertisement, entitled "Broken Promise," begins with a narrator saying "Scott Walker promised," before cutting to footage of Walker saying "250,000 new jobs."
"And Scott Walker delivered nothing," the narrator responds. The ad then highlights recent reports showing Wisconsin had the largest job loss of any state in the nation over the last year.
The ad then shifts to footage of Barrett touring businesses and talking with residents. "It's time we had a governor truly focused on creating true jobs," the narrator says. "Tom Barrett will support Wisconsin manufacturers, bring high-tech clean energy jobs, link tax incentives to job creation and invest in education again."
The ad ends with the narrator saying Barrett will be "the jobs governor Wisconsin needs."
