Walker transferred $60,000 to legal defense fund

Gov. Scott Walker transferred $60,000 to his legal defense fund during the pre-primary period, according to his campaign finance report.

The filing gives some of the first details on Walker's defense fund, identified in his report as "The Scott Walker Trust." He announced its creation earlier this year.

The money transferred to the defense fund was part of the $231,439 that Walker spent on legal fees over the period, which ended April 23.

The GAB’s website does not list which donors’ contributions Walker transferred as part of the $60,000. Under state law, he has to receive permission from donors to use their political contributions for his defense fund.
