Baldwin touts "Buy American" efforts in new ad

A new ad from Rep. Tammy Baldwin highlights her efforts to force the U.S. Coast Guard to "buy american."

The 30-second TV ad, entitled "Engines" begins with Baldwin noting that Coast Guard Cutters are "built in America, but powered by engines manufactured overseas."

Baldwin then says that she "led the fight" to require the Coast Guard to buy their engines from American companies, as the screen notes she sponsored the "BUY American Bill."

"While the Coast Guard protects our shores, we can also protect our jobs," Baldwin says. The ad ends with the tagline "Tammy Baldwin: Standing up for what's right."
