New Hovde ad attacks Thompson, Neumann for mudslinging
A new ad from Eric Hovde hits back at former Gov. Tommy Thompson and Mark Neumann for attacking Hovde.
The 30-second TV ad, entitled "Mud," begins with a narrator referring to Washington D.C. as "home of the mud" and then attempts to characterize Thompson and Neumann as D.C. politicians who "sling mud and tell lies."
"First, Neumann attacked Gov. Walker," the narrator says. "Now Neumann and Thompson are attacking Eric Hovde." The ad then shows a clip of the Club for Growth ad that attacked Hovde and Thompson. The Club for Growth backs Neumann.
The narrator says Neumann is trying to hide a record that included four votes to raise the debt ceiling while Thompson is hiding his support of Obamacare.
The ad ends with the narrator saying "Tommy Thompson, Mark Neumann: They're what's wrong with Wisconsin."
