Pocan outraises Roys, Ryan top fundraiser in House delegation
Mark Pocan outraised Dem rival Kelda Roys in the 2nd CD and had more than twice as much in the bank, according to campaign finance numbers posted at the FEC site.
Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, the House Budget chair and a potential vice presidential pick, continues to be the best fundraiser in the House delegation and freshmen GOP Reps. Sean Duffy and Reid Ribble each has a warchest of more than $1 million.
In the 2nd CD, Pocan, D-Madison, raised $248,634 during the second quarter, spent $140,589 and had $453,915 cash on hand. Roys, D-Madison, reported $128,248 raised, $110,985 spent and $190,120 cash on hand with $20,000 in debts.
Fellow Dem Matt Silverman raised $2,345, spent $4,085 and had $8,657 cash on hand, while Dem Dennis Hall didn’t have a report filed at the FEC site last night.
Republican Chad Lee reported $13,760 raised, $17,809 spent and $5,420 cash on hand.
The candidates are vying for Tammy Baldwin's seat in Congress. Baldwin, a Madison Dem, is running for the U.S. Senate.
Here’s a rundown of the numbers for the other House races, according to information posted at the FEC site:
