Pocan touts work on rape victims bill in new TV ad
Mark Pocan’s 2nd CD campaign has a new TV ad out today touting his work on the Compassionate Care for Rape Victims Act.
The spot opens with a man -- not identified -- saying about the most “wrenching thing you can go through as a parent” is to learn your daughter has been raped.
“All you want for your daughter at that moment, especially at the hospital, is the right care and compassion,” he says.
A narrator then says the Madison state rep made the bill his cause and for six years “he worked and worked until he finally got enough Republican support to get it done.”
“Mark wouldn’t quit. That’s why this bill got passed,” says
the man who first appeared in the ad.
