Poll finds Hovde about even with Thompson, but one-fourth of respondents undecided
A new poll We Ask America released today found Eric Hovde about even with Tommy Thompson in the GOP U.S. Senate primary, though more than one-fourth of those surveyed said they were undecided.
The poll found 23.2 percent of respondents backed Hovde, compared to 22.79 percent for Thompson. Mark Neumann was supported by 16.66 percent of respondents, while 12.11 percent backed Jeff Fitzgerald.
Still, 25.24 percent of those polled were undecided.
The automated phone survey of 1,237 likely GOP primary voters was conducted Monday and had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.8 percentage points.
