Walker raises $6.7 million in final recall reporting period
Gov. Scott Walker raised $6.7 million in the final push of the recall election and the weeks immediately after, his campaign said today.
The money raised between May 22 and June 30 pushes Walker’s total haul since taking office in January 2011 to more than $37 million. He raised $27.6 million in the first half of 2012 alone.
Walker’s campaign said the final $6.7 million was raised from 82,206 contributions with 63,895 of those in increments of $50 or less. It also said he finished the period with more than $1.6 million cash on hand.
