Hovde donated another $1.1 million to campaign in July
Hedge fund manager and U.S. Senate candidate Eric Hovde donated another $1.1 million to his campaign, according to his Federal Election Commission pre-primary report.
The July 16 donation means he's given a total of $5.1 million to his campaign, which includes a $250,000 loan.
Former Congressman Mark Neumann and former Gov. Tommy Thompson also dipped into their own pockets in the last reporting cycle, which covered July 1 to July 25. Neumann gave the campaign a $235,000 loan in the last cycle and has loaned his campaign a total of $240,750 over the course of the campaign. Thompson loaned his campaign $100,000 in the last reporting period, bringing his self-funding to $132,500.
