It's official: Wisconsin's Ryan is Romney's pick for VP

Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has selected U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Janesville, to be his running mate.

Romney's campaign made the announcement using a phone app, and the campaign is already soliciting donations for the Romney-Ryan ticket: https://www.mittromney.com/donate/romney-ryan.

Ryan also has an official campaign Twitter account -- @PaulRyanVP -- but hasn't sent out a tweet yet.

Romney's due to make a speech introducing Ryan at 8 a.m. in Virginia.
