New Hovde ad features wife Sharon in pitch for Senate seat
A new TV ad from hedge fund manager Eric Hovde has his wife by his side as he makes a pledge to "make a difference" in Washington.
The 30-second TV ad, entitled "Something Different," begins with Hovde saying the campaign has gotten "ugly" while seated next to his wife.
"You can say that again," Sharon Hovde says.
"OK, this campaign has turned ugly," Eric Hovde says, as Sharon playfully elbows him in the side.
Hovde then says the country should try a different approach, saying President Barack Obama has America "on a financial cliff with spending and debt" and that career politicians won't fix it.
"I'm from the private sector," Hovde says. "I don't want a career in politics, I just want to make a difference."
The ad ends with both Eric and Sharon Hovde approving the message.
