Second Hovde ad of the day hits Neumann, Thompson for negative ads
A new TV ad from Eric Hovde makes the case that he's the best to take on Rep. Tammy Baldwin while chastising rivals Tommy Thompson and Mark Neumann for negative ads.
The 30-second ad, entitled "Yuck," starts with Hovde standing in front of televisions with clips of the negative ads run by Neumann, Thompson, Club for Growth and Americans for Job Security. After saying he's sure the people will be glad when the ads are over, he goes on the offensive.
"Years ago, Thompson served our state well," Hovde says. "It's a shame to see him end this way."
He then notes Neumann attacked Gov. Scott Walker as having a worse record than Gov. Jim Doyle.
"This time Neumann's attacking me instead of Walker," Hovde says. "I'm Eric Hovde. I'm ready to take on Tammy Baldwin and take back Washington."
