Super PAC ad targets Duffy
Super PAC Friends of Democracy today announced a new TV ad targeting four GOP House members, including U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy of Weston.
In the spot, titled "Get in the Game," two men dressed in ties repeatedly tell a man and his two children that their seats are taken in a nearly empty baseball stadium.
"Do you feel frozen out like this when it comes to Congress?" an announcer asks over the footage. "No wonder. Corporate lobbyists have your congressman’s full attention."
The ad charges that Duffy took nearly $540,000 in campaign contributions from financial institutions and wrote a bill "leaving consumers vulnerable to their abuses."
"If we don’t vote against Sean Duffy, ordinary families will never get in the game," the spot ends.
The group says similar ads will target Charlie Bass of New Hampshire, Chip Cravaack of Minnesota and Dan Lungren of California. The ads will run for two weeks in each district, and the total cost of the campaign will run $700,000.
