Baldwin uses latest TV ad to knock Thompson for leaving Wisconsin for Washington
Tammy Baldwin’s latest TV ad knocks GOP Senate opponent Tommy Thompson for leaving Wisconsin for Washington.
The spot includes a shot of Thompson standing next to former President George W. Bush as the narrator says the former HHS secretary cut a “sweetheart deal with drug companies making it illegal for Medicare to negotiate lower prescription drug process,” costing taxpayers $156 billion.
The narrator then says Thompson made millions working for a lobbying firm that represented drug companies before cutting to video of Thompson saying, “We went to Washington to change Washington, and Washington changed us.”
“Tommy Thompson, he’s not for you anymore,” the narrator says to close the spot.
