Biden visits Kroll's, predicts Packers win next Sunday
GREEN BAY -- Vice President Joe Biden visited Kroll's West Restaurant across from Lambeau Field as part of his campaign trip here.
Biden greeted patrons during his 15-minute visit, taking pictures and chatting with diners. Those there included a group celebrating a wedding. Biden asked for the couple, but the bride and groom weren't there, according to a pool report.
A young boy asked Biden for a prediction on the Green Bay Packers game Sept. 9, the season opener.
“Thirty-eight-14, 49ers going down. That’s what I was just told,” Biden told the watching press.
The restaurant is known for its butter burgers and chili, and the vice president ordered a well-done burger, thanking the kitchen crew and telling one employee, "You’ve got a smile that lights up the kitchen.”
Biden also contributed his signature to Kroll’s West “Signature Wall,” joining Packers greats such as former quarterback Bart Starr.
