New Thompson ad uses Pelosi comments to attack Baldwin on Medicare
A new ad from Tommy Thompson claims that U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin is to the left of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and "too extreme" for Wisconsin voters.
The 30-second ad, titled "Too Liberal", starts by asking how extreme Baldwin is before playing the clip of her saying she supported a government takeover of medicine.
"So extreme that even San Francisco liberal Nancy Pelosi attacked Baldwin's radical plan for disrupting Medicare for seniors," the narrator says, as a portion of her quote is displayed on the screen.
The ad also claims that she would tax middle class families more almost $3,000 to pay for her plan.
The ad ends with the tagline: "Tammy Baldwin: Too liberal for Nancy Pelosi, too extreme for Wisconsin."
