Romney campaign, Walker respond to Biden
Mitt Romney's campaign accused Vice Presiden Joe Biden of hypocrisy in his campaign visit to Eau Claire today, while Gov. Scott Walker called the Obama/Biden record "indefensible."
Romney campaign spokesman Ben Sparks focused on Biden's remarks on Romney's support for a territorial tax, saying members of the president's Export and Jobs council also supported one and cited a book by Bob Woodward to say the Obama Administration did as well last year.
“Today, Vice President Biden continued to launch hypocritical, discredited attacks, criticizing Mitt Romney for a policy the Obama Administration supported just last year," Sparks said. "With a record of failed trade policies that have led to hundreds of thousands of American jobs going to China, it appears that false and misleading attacks are all the Obama campaign has to offer the American people.”
Added Walker: “The Obama/Biden record is truly indefensible. Today, 23 million Americans are out of a job or underemployed, 47 million Americans are on food stamps, and the poverty rate is headed toward its highest point in 50 years. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are the leaders who know we can do better – for the sake of our children and our grandchildren, we must do better.”
