Walker says Republicans can win Wisconsin
Gov. Scott Walker urged supporters in the audience in a Romney campaign rally to get involved in the campaign between now and November.
"We can win this election because the truth is on our side," Walker said before introducing vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan.
The governor received a rousing ovation from the crowd, which stood throughout his remarks.
"It's good to have a cheesehead on the ticket, isn't it?" Walker asked.
Walker praised Mitt Romney's record as governor of Massachusetts, saying he created a surplus without raising taxes.
The governor said although Romney already had the experience to be president, by selecting Ryan, "he showed us on that day he wasn't just qualified, he had the courage and the passion to be an exceptional president."
