Crossroads GPS ad recalls Romney's relationship with cancer-stricken 14-year-old
Conservative group Crossroads GPS announced a $2 million TV ad buy in Wisconsin detailing Mitt Romney's friendship with a 14-year-old cancer patient in the 1970s.
The spot features Ted and Pat Oparowski talking about their son David and his diagnosis of lymphoma in 1979, and how Romney helped him write a will and delivered the eulogy at his funeral.
"To spend time with a 14-year-old boy in his last days, you cannot help but know that he's caring," Pat Oparowski says in the ad. "He cares about people and about their needs, and he’s going to be able to get us back on track.”
The spot ends with a shot reading, "Please Vote Mitt Romney for President."
