DSCC calls Thompson 'point man' on prohibiting negotiations on drug prices
A new TV ad from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee calls Tommy Thompson the “point main” for a plan that prohibits negotiating lower drug prices.
The narrator in the spot says “Thompson’s plan gave billions in taxpayer handouts to the drug companies” and went on to “make millions working at a lobbying firm for those same drug companies.”
The narrator then says Thompson supports privatizing Medicare, “leading to billions in profits for the insurance companies.”
“Tommy Thompson’s just not for us,” the narrator says to close the spot.
