Duffy, Ribble outraise challengers; full House fundraising numbers
Freshman GOP incumbents Sean Duffy and Reid Ribble outraised the Dem challengers for their respective House seats during the latest campaign fundraising period.
Duffy, of Weston, raised $513,838 between July 26 and Sept. 30, according to his filing with the Federal Election Commission. His campaign previously reported he'd raised $540,000 in the third quarter, which includes fundraising from the pre-primary period of July 1 through July 25.
Duffy spent $672,704 during the period and had $937,880 cash on hand at the end of September.
Dem challenger Pat Kreitlow of Chippewa Falls, meanwhile, raised $289,282 and spent $383,554 during the period. The former Dem state senator had $342,145 cash on hand.
In the 8th CD, Ribble, of Sherwood, reported raising $426,275, spending $812,681 and having $488,817 cash on hand. All three totals were well ahead of Green Bay business consultant Jamie Wall, who raised $246,390, spent $496,830 and had a warchest of $255,799.
In other races:
1st CD: U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Janesville, reported raising $465,645 in his latest filing, with $1.9 million spent and just over $4 million cash on hand. Dem Rob Zerban reported raising $731,930 and spending $293,050. He had $966,447 cash on hand.
2nd CD: State Rep. Mark Pocan, D-Madison, raised $262,613, spent $400,173 and had $134,614 in the bank. Republican Chad Lee of Mt. Horeb raised $18,469, spent $25,929 and had $5,345 cash on hand.
3rd CD: U.S. Rep. Ron Kind, D-La Crosse, raised $339,154, spent $375,146 and had $737,725 cash on hand. Republican Ray Boland of Sparta raised $25,125, spent $26,753 and had $7,841 cash on hand.
4th CD: U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore reported raising $90,627, spending $115,432 and $66,934 cash on hand. Republican Dan Sebring of Milwaukee raised $6,253, spent $4,374 and had $5,540 cash on hand.
5th CD: U.S. Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, R-Menomonee Falls, raised $87,965, spent $32,545 and had $404,857 cash on hand. Dem David Heaster has not reported any fundraising to the FEC.
6th: U.S. Rep. Tom Petri, R-Fond du Lac, raised $75,237, spent $75,660 and had $929,680 cash on hand. Dem Joe Kallas reported raising $4,702 for the full quarter, spending $2,757 and $2,623 cash on hand. The FEC summary did not include a breakdown from July 26 to Sept. 30.
