GAB, Romney campaign settle suit over military overseas ballots
The GAB announced today it has reached a deal with Mitt Romney's campaign to resolve a lawsuit the GOP nominee filed over absentee ballots that were sent late to military and overseas voters.
According to a GAB release on the settlement, GAB Director Kevin Kennedy has ordered four municipalities to extend the deadline for those ballots to be returned. Three of the municipalities will now accept those ballots until 4 p.m. Nov. 12 instead of Nov. 9, the Friday after the election. The fourth will have a deadline of 4 p.m. Nov. 15.
Kennedy said the deal affects four ballots, two of which have already been returned.
