New Baldwin ad says she 'gets it' on making college affordable
Tammy Baldwin’s campaign released a new TV ad today that says the Madison Dem “gets it” when it comes to making college more affordable.
The spot opens with a shot of two kids riding their bikes and a man’s voice saying the boy is great at math and science while the girl loves to read and write. A woman than says they hope to send them to college some day, but don’t know if they can afford it.
“I think Tammy Baldwin gets it,” she says. “I know she’s working to lower student loan rates and expand college grants.”
“Tommy Thompson’s plan makes no sense to us at all,” the man adds.
She then says Thompson wants to cut college aid, but give huge tax breaks to millionaires.
“It just doesn’t seem like he’s for families like us,” she says.
Baldwin then gives the required disclaimer, saying she approves the message because "Wisconsin needs a senator who will stand up for you."
