New Crossroads GPS says Baldwin would support 'extreme takeover' of health care
A new ad from Karl Rove-backed Crossroad GPS says Tammy Baldwin would support a government takeover of health care.
The 30-second TV ad, titled "Extreme Takeover," begins with footage of Tammy Baldwin saying "I actually was for a government takeover of medicine." The narrator then says Baldwin's plan would go "beyond Obamacare."
"Paid for by crushing new taxes on the middle class, Tammy's plan would outlaw the private health insurance that families depend on," the narrator says. "Higher taxes, zero choices."
After one more background repetition of Baldwin saying "government takeover," the narrator ends by saying "Tammy's extreme takeover of health care is too extreme for Wisconsin."
