New NRSC ad uses 'cap and trade' to cast Baldwin as extreme
A new ad from the National Republican Senatorial Committee continues to frame Tammy Baldwin's policies as "extreme" by focusing on her support for the cap-and-trade bill.
The 30-second TV ad, titled "Even," starts with a narrator saying that "you already know how extreme Tammy Baldwin is," which is followed by Baldwin's clip of her saying "You're damn right."
"But there's more," the narrator adds. "When our unemployment rate doubled, Baldwin tried to pass an extreme cap-and-trade plan that increased energy costs and risked thousands of jobs."
The narrator then claims that Baldwin wanted to pass a $3.9 trillion task increase that claims "even Nancy Pelosi voted against it."
The ad ends with the tagline, "Tammy Baldwin: Too extreme for Wisconsin."
