Poll finds Duffy with 11-point lead
A poll conducted for the conservative American Action Network found U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy, R-Weston, with a double-digit lead on Dem challenger Pat Kreitlow.
The survey found 51 percent of respondents backed Duffy, compared to 40 percent who supported Kreitlow.
It also found the district with a generic GOP advantage of 47-42, Mitt Romney leading Barack Obama in the 7th CD 49-46 and Tommy Thompson leading Tammy Baldwin there 50-43.
The memo on the poll conducted for the group, which spends heavily in House races, argues the 7th CD is not a good pickup opportunity for Dems.
The survey of 400 likely voters was conducted Sept. 30-Oct. 1 and included 80 cell phone users. The margin of error was plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.
