Ryan talks tax code changes in latest congressional campaign TV ad
Paul Ryan says in the latest TV ad for his 1st CD campaign that taxpayers deserve a “common sense tax code.”
The spot features Ryan speaking to workers in a factory. One opens the spot by asking him how he’d fix the tax code because it’s “a mess.”
Ryan says he favors “simple, fairer and lower tax rates to make America more competitive.”
“Fairer means eliminating loopholes and handouts that go to high income earners and the politically connected,” he says. “Every American deserves the opportunity to achieve and succeed. America should be a place where if you work hard and play by the rules, you can get ahead.”
