White nationalist group does robocall in Wisconsin praising Trump

A White nationalist group is praising Donald Trump in a Wisconsin robocall, saying he will “respect all women and help preserve Western civilization.”

The woman in the call says Trump will be presidential and put America first.

“He will select the very best persons to be in his cabinet, and the entire world will benefit from his leadership,” the woman says in the call, which was received by a Republican activist who provided a copy to WisPolitics.com.

The call is sponsored by the American National Super PAC, which is associated with the American Freedom Party.

AFP Chair William Johnson, who is treasurer of the super PAC, said the group has now done calls in a half-dozen states on Trump’s behalf, though this one “has been the most ratcheted back.”

Previous calls in Vermont and Minnesota urged recipients, “Don’t vote for a Cuban. Vote for Donald Trump.” Both Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are of Cuban descent. Johnson also declared in that call, “The white race is dying out in America and Europe because we are afraid to be called ‘racist.’”

Another that went in Utah attacked Mitt Romney, who has denounced Trump. In that one, Johnson declared, “The white race is being replaced by other peoples in America and in all white countries.”

Johnson said the group spent about $5,000 on the call, which does not carry an “overtly white nationalist message because we truly wanted to help Donald Trump.” Whereas Johnson was featured in other calls, he said the group picked a grandmother who belongs to the organization and the Wisconsin call was “more artfully crafted.”

He also said the group has not worked with Trump.

“It’s truly unrequited love,” Johnson said. “We like him. He doesn’t like us.”
