Marquette poll: Clinton 46, Trump 40; Feingold 45, Johnson 44
The latest Marquette University Law School Poll found Hillary Clinton maintaining her lead on Donald Trump in Wisconsin, while the Senate race remained about even.
Forty-six percent of respondents backed Clinton, while 40 percent supported Trump and 4 percent backed Libertarian Gary Johnson. Green candidate Jill Stein was at 3 percent.
In early October, Clinton led 44-37 with Johnson at 9.
In the Senate race, 45 percent of respondents backed Feingold, while 44 percent supported Johnson and 3 percent backed Libertarian Phil Anderson. In early October, it was 46 Feingold, 44 Johnson with Anderson at 4 percent.
The survey was in the field Oct. 26-31, a span of six days. Typically, it’s in the field for four. Poll director Charles Franklin said that was done to conduct additional surveys.
The survey included 1,255 likely voters and had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. The surveys were split between landlines and cell phones.
